Last Friday I spent my last day in my Kindergarten class for my student teaching assignment. I remember how nervous and scared I was back in February when I started and now I feel so confident and happy being in the classroom. I had such an amazing mentor teacher that was such a great role model for me. It was bittersweet to leave. I am excited to be done, but I was really sad to leave. Those 14 weeks flew by so fast!

After thinking about whether or not it was stupid to walk at my graduation ceremony (since I walked in 2010 when I got my bachelors) I decided that I was going to just do it. I know that it took me longer than it should have to finish the program, but I still feel more accomplished now then I did when I got my Bachelors. I was talking to Eric the other night and I told him that I feel like I deserve to walk because of all the work that I have put in. I also told him that I feel way more accomplished having my credential because now I can actually start my career (as soon as I can find a job...haha) With my bachelors I was still doing the same exact thing that I had been doing before I had started going to school and that was working at Budweiser. I guess in my perspective I feel like I should be celebrating more now then ever :) I got an e-mail this morning from the CTC saying that my credentialed had been issued and that it would take 48 hours to show up on the website. Well I checked this afternoon and it was on there! I am officially considered a highly qualified, credentialed teacher :) I finally made it to the end!! Well kind of...now I just need to find a job and most likely I will be going back to get my masters sometime in the near future!
